The New York Festivals Health Awards announced the 2023 NYF Health Awards Grand Jury.
The Health Awards powerhouse jury of respected international healthcare advertising leaders and creatives are representative of 15 countries on 6 continents. The Grand Jury panel is comprised of 100+ creatives who are some of the most innovative minds in healthcare advertising and their extensive industry experience has been recognized for exceptional achievement within the industry. The 2023 jury’s high standard of excellence and distinctive viewpoints ensures that entrants work will be evaluated thoughtfully and with the utmost of consideration.
The BlocPartners’ Chief Creative Officer Xavier Sánchez is one of the selected members of the NYF Health Awards jury. Xavier is the founder and CEO of the advertising agency Umbilical and the video content creation company Amniotic.tv.
Xavier has been working in healthcare communications over the last 25 years for prestigious accounts such as Novartis, Sanofi, BMS, Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK, Leo Pharma, Merck, UCB, Ferrer, Alcon, Bayer, Chiesi, Almirall and Nestlé.
Before becoming independent and founding Umbilical, he developed his work as Executive Creative Director at OgilvyOne and Ogilvy Healthcare, Torre Lazur McCann and Adding Targis (now CDM). He was also a former Partner and Creative Director at Pavlov.
His work has been honored in both national and international competitions such as The Global Awards, Rx Club Awards, Best of Health Awards, Indigenius Awards, Lisbon Health Awards and Aspid Awards.
Xavier was the first Spanish Creative Director to be selected as a jury member at the Cannes Lions Health Festival and was also the first from the country to be a member of the Executive Jury of The Global Awards and the Executive Jury of Clio Healthcare Awards.
In addition to holding the role of President at the Aspid Awards, he has held the position of international juror in the LIA Awards, Rx Club Awards, Lisbon Health Awards, Lisbon Effectiveness Awards and Indigenius Awards.
He is the author of the Handbook of Pharmaceutical Advertising. More than 2000 slogans, headlines and advertising slogans in healthcare marketing campaigns and co-author of Marketing Farmacéutico.
He is a former professor of Brand Communication, Corporative Communication and Creative Skills at ESIC Business School and an associate professor at EADA Business School.
